Amanda Mowat

Amanda joined our team in 2002, later qualifying from North Highland College in 2008. In 2014 Amanda took a career break to concentrate on raising her young boys and running her equine massage therapy business.

In 2018 she moved across the water to Caithness, running a self catering buisiness and small croft alongside her equine massage therapy business. Moving back to Orkney in 2024, she started working at Flett and Carmichael again.

Outside of work Amanda is kept very busy with her 5 horses, 2 dogs and 3 kids. She enjoys horse riding and taking part in local riding club activities aswell as walking her dog and just generally being outside.

Amanda finds veterinary nursing very rewarding and loves being part of a team in a busy and demanding enviroment. Her main interests are anything equine, radiography, diagnostics and nursing care of sick patients. She would love to take all the animals home!
